I have automatic withdrawal payments from my bank account. Is it better to have all of my bills paid on the same day, or spread the payment dates over the course of the month?
Automatic withdrawal payments can be a very convenient and easy way to pay bills, since you don’t have to do anything (isn’t it interesting that the one thing banks make easy is getting rid of your money?). When you pay these bills is generally up to you, and should depend on certain factors. When do you get paid? You could have a number (or all) of your online payments processed on your paydays. You wouldn’t have to worry about having an overdrawn account ever again (just keep those paycheques higher than your bills!). If you decide to spread your payments out, just be aware of how much money you have consistently over the course of the month.
