What should I do with my credit card receipts?

The Canada Customs and Revenue Agency has the right to review up to seven years of financial data if they conduct an audit on you. For this reason, it is a good idea to keep a file that holds all of your receipts going back seven years. Keeping these credit card transactions and other receipts may save you time, stress and cost later on. As well, having all of your receipts in one place will help you if there are any mistakes on your statement, if you have to refer back to them during tax time, or when reviewing your budget.
