Are There Any Extra Costs?

Most clients will not be charged any additional fees or expenses. However, In some cases, clients may incur extra costs and expenses in addition to the advertised flat fees. Here are some examples:

  • Third-Party Services: Additional services such as tax preparation and accounting may sometimes be necessary, particularly for foreign owners without an ITIN (International Tax Identification Number) or SSN (Social Security Number). These numbers are required to obtain an Employer Identification Number (EIN). Other third-party fees, such as court filing fees, process server fees, expert witness fees, photocopying, and document production costs, may also be applicable.

  • Extra Legal Advice and Time: We will charge you additional time if you need more legal help beyond the initial time included in a flat-fee service.

  • Contract Drafting and Review: If your business enters into contracts or agreements with other parties, our attorneys can assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating these documents to ensure your interests are protected.

  • Business Expansion or Transactions: For businesses undergoing expansion, mergers and acquisitions, or other strategic transactions, additional attorney time may be needed for due diligence, negotiations, and legal documentation.

  • Regulatory Compliance: If your business plans to operate in a heavily regulated industry or requires specialized permits or licenses to operate legally, there may be costs associated with obtaining and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Complex Legal Matters: Certain legal issues may require extensive research, analysis, or consultation, resulting in additional attorney time beyond the scope of the flat fee package.

  • Intellectual Property Protection: Securing trademarks, patents, or copyrights to protect intellectual property may require legal assistance and incur associated fees for application filings, searches, and maintenance.

  • Litigation or Dispute Resolution: In the event of legal disputes, litigation, or the need for alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration or mediation, there may be legal fees and expenses for representation and resolution.

  • Employee Relations and HR Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws, drafting employee contracts and handbooks, and addressing workplace issues may require legal assistance and incur associated fees.
